F.A.S.T. Spelling Weekly Guidelines
Here is an overview of our two-week F.A.S.T. Spelling cycle. Please use this guide to make sure that your work is completed correctly.
Week One (Front of Card)
- Words written in cursive on each card
- synonyms
- antonyms
- concept
- type of syllable
- cut out words
Week Two (Back of the Card)
- sentence with your word used in it
- part of speech
- highlight the word in the sentence
- on the front highlight the concept in the front
- add words to the Word Wall (purple folder)
- alphabetize
- spelling test
Quality Check
- All work done in cursive
- Correct spelling
- Correct concept
- Correct type of speech
- Correct syllable
- Correct punctuation and spelling on the sentence
